OUR MISSION

The Community Fire Response Organization was created in the aftermath of the Los Angeles Wildfire Conflagration, which burned over 40,000 acres and destroyed 14,000 structures. Sadly, 30 people lost their lives--most of whom were elderly and died in their homes. Concerned San Diego homeowners got together to answer the simple question, "What can I do to safely protect my home?"

We assembled experts in fire fighting, fire behavior, home hardening and insurance risk to come together with a practical, science-based approach to fire protection. We stand united with government, insurance and property owners to protect, defend and support our neighborhoods from wildfire. We recognize the owner's obligation to play an active role in the prevention and suppression of wildfire.

The non-profit Community Fire Response Organization is registered as a California Public Benefit Corporation and is tax-exempt under IRS 501(c)3. All donations including in-kind donations are tax-exempt. We welcome your support!
